Æon Flux is on TV at the moment. It's a bit of an underrated movie in my opinion, but only if you've seen the cartoons first. I can see how it might be considered confusing if you only see the film given that the cartoon series was already broadly unintelligible, but the various references back to it and plot that evolves from the plotless base pay off in my opinion. Great cast of actors too.

A few days ago, Mtv closed its TV channel. Known for music videos, some of which were animated. It also made anim TV shows.
Which lead to the first steps of #AdultAnimation as we know it. Legends of TV. And started the careers of some of the top animators out there today.

We need to talk about Æon Flux.
I see a lot of people talking about fighting fascism or discussing #anarchy but no one seems to remember the icon that was Aeon.
I remember watching this episode "Thanatophobia" (S03E03) back in 1995 and this opening scene punched me in the face the same way 30 years later.
If you've not watched ÆonFlux I recommend it. I still hum this to myself all these years later.
It's anarcho-biopunk-core with #CyberPunk elements and much more.

I just found out @internetarchive has a copy of the #AeonFlux animation, from that weird time in history when #MTV was putting up crazy artsy original shows along music.
The '90s were wild.
I recommend the series before the standalone episodes, even if it's not the cronological broadcasting order.

New boot! Because I wanted all the original #AeonFlux Liquid Television shorts all in one collection.
I actually prefer the shorts over the TV show. Just in my opinion, I loved all the mystery surrounding the characters and their strange dystopian world. I think the show maybe revealed too much? What do you think?

Started playing #AeonFlux on #ps2. Started about a 1/2 dozen times actually because the first few times I couldn't get past the opening tutorial without it getting stuck in a loop and freezing on me. Too bad about all the glitches, because it appears to be pretty ambitious with a lot of style and flair. We'll see how far I can get into it. #retrogaming #videogames

After rewatching it... I would say #ReignTheConqueror is only rivaled by blue submarine no 6 as the best of the nearly forgotten 90s #anime
and maybe my favorite #PeterChung project though I need to rewatch #AeonFlux
Also will try to slow down on posting just revved up on coffee and feeling like sharing for the first time in a while. Will make one more post then take a break.
