I know some people find the way the intertitles in this version to be distracting but I liked how clear they are and how they act as transitions because without them the film reads more like a set of vignettes

For being a Soviet era Russia constructivist film “Aelita, Queen of Mars” also has a good deal of German Expressionism in it. Like take these costume sketches for the film by Aleksandra Ekster for example.
