The whole internet is bots on top of bots. If the traffic experts at Cloudflare with their Analytics product, with 'exclude bots' enabled still report 95% traffic that is clearly coming from residential proxies, how reliable are Google Analytics and Google Adwords statistics?
I wouldn't be surprised if advertisers paid 3 times as much as they need to.
And there's no incentive for Google to put more effort into blocking as long as advertisers are willing to pay up.

Logged into #Google #Adwords via my main Google account and it started trying to guide me through first-time set up. Dismissed all that. Only to find a notice saying my "none of your ads are running" 🤔 ...
Turns out I set up a small campaign in April *2007* and ran it for about a month. But Google (mostly) does not forget. -
I just don't understand Google's continued ban on advertising by 3rd party tech support businesses. We have been in business for over 15 years and have a 5.0 review rating with hundreds of reviews. We want to give you money... You have SO much data - I guarantee you could come up with a way to verify legitimate businesses quite easily.

Any recommendations on a freelance Google #AdWords consultant? Who would charge per hour or task, rather than the usual % of ad buys?
I have a small client (2–3 person family business) bidding against 1 or 2 competitors in a small niche, changing their ads weekly or daily. They need help, and thousands of people CLAIM to be AdWords pros… but my client has tried a number of random companies and gotten burned: big bills and a lack of real expertise.
Suggestions welcome!
