It sounds like my surround sound system is packing up. 🫤 Not sure what is going on and can’t describe it, but it sounds really off at times. Will open it up and clean it, haven’t done that for many years. But if I need to replace it, does Pioneer still do real, wired, 5.1 Dolby surround sound systems that do not cost more than a new car? Or similar brands?

You should always back up all your important data.

The only good backup is one that you can use to restore the data in time so that you can use it again before you get in trouble in the world.

So always periodically test if your restore procedure works as planned.

This video from Adam Savage is really important. I've been working hard to use appropriate language around everyone.

Here Adam talks about the expression "Why don't you just?" when someone comes to you with a problem. It's condescending.

But what would be a better way to offer help without being condescending? Is "Have you tried?" OK?

Or it this another case of offering unsolicited advice almost always being rude?
