We should add that this is not just for high-school students.
Many adults go through life oblivious to how they are being led to believe all manner of hogwash, not by #advertisments but by content that looks and sunds #authoritative. sincere and even at times humourous.
The above BBC #documentary is a must for all ages.

@fsf
Thanks FSF,A passiveAggressive abuse is the #opacityZero that js-requiring sites feature. There might be a way to detect such (when a browser has #javascript disabled) and ask to remove the CSS?
We've also boosted often since January the growing danger around #lazyLoading images.
Though not using JS, it can argueably be used to fingerprint visitors, infer their #readingSpeed and as such #targetUsers with *bespoke* lazy-loaded images like #advertisments at the end of an articles, etc.

We were talking to a young man recently.
He exclaimed, "I just want to be left alone! I don't want to search for something on #Google and get #advertisments about it on #Facebook. I now have a #camera in my work car, pointed AT ME LIKE I'M A CRIMINAL."
It was a shock to see the detrimental effects of #thePanopticon in action during this chance encounter. It motivates us to get the word out.
There is another way!
We hope he's doing better since talking to us.
