I dunno how to feel. Happy? High on imposter syndrome? About a year ago I got a piece of paper that said I was the Head Cook/Sommelier. Like it's a big deal and my boss is sending me there. She made that decision without my knowledge and without any pressure from me.
This means a lot of things. I'm on track for where I want to be but also my boss respects me ... a lot. That's like a promotion per year and generally paired with a raise. I'm really quite pleased but I also feel like somehow I am just faking all of that confidence, experience and ability. Unfortunately in my job the proof is literally in the pudding but my brain is made up of 80% asshole so 🤷.
