Our Children Are Not Ready : A Generational Crisis in the Age of AI
I was on a panel recently discussing the future of work when a fellow panelist shared a chilling statistic. In their research, they had monitored the social media platform Discord and found a server with approximately 5,000 children actively and openly discussing suicide. These conversations were unfolding in a digital space with virtually no adult supervision a dark corner of the internet where despair was festering among the generation expected to build our future……..Continue […]

That sort of nonsense doesn't work for me in any _paid_ gig. It sure does not work for a volunteer opensource community software project. #AdultSupervision #AllTheCoffee
My K1 Max was not the first run with the black sock extruder. Mine was the _next_ one.
The extruder motor and bowden tube attachment went bad and I got the new one. Not the CFS extruder version.
It needed the new Unicorn nozzle. Mine had a short PTFE tube that could not possibly fit in the new mount. 😑
I _did_ get the new Unicorn nozzle upgrade and the 0.6 hardened nozzle. It works and (for once) when I put it all back together I did not have any extra screws. #3DPrinting #AdultSupervision
@Natanox And it was! And it was unreliable as heck. 🤣
I _love_ opensource, I do. But now I have two 3D printers. The main one is the H2C which I just use. I have no plans to modify or hack it.
The one I tinker with and currently is waiting for parts id my K1 Max. It's root'ed and is running Klipper's web UI.
It's nice to have toys. #AdultSupervision

I had Buldak noodles for lunch. Normally I boil the noodles for 5 minutes, drain and mix in the heat.
BUT! The instructions say leave in 8 tablespoons of water, stir fry for 30 seconds and then add heat. The noodles were better and seemed HOTTER.
SO GOOD. #AdultSupervision

OKAY!
I hooked up a monitor and keyboard to my basement server and began the upgrade to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
*DRINKS COFFEE*
The reboot failed but it came back and on the CLI I am updating 804 packages. And my QEMU VMs did not start.
That's not bad. Last time I upgraded that server to 22.04 LTS I left a smoking crater. I can fix my QEMU issues. Eventually.
