Listened to the #AudioDescription for the film #Predator.
Not super impressed. It doesn't mention that Mac and Dillon are black dudes, that Billy is a Native American.
Blaine is described as carrying a "heavy machine gun" which is actually a mini-gun, a 6 barrel rotary machine gun which is a way more dramatic visual.
The TTS is jarring when it mis-emphasises or strangely pronounces a word.
Bit of a shame. Still, it's a good movie.

Watched #Hellraiser 2022, the audio described version.
I saw it last year, and was interested how it held up, and on audio only.
One of the best films in the "series". It's thematically coherent and has some nice character moments and dialogue.
The narrator unfortunately sounded like a 1990s trailer, deep voice, over-earnest and over-dramatic. Not quite a mood-kill, but didn't really feel the right tone for it.

#ADReview A Quiet Place Part II. The intimate horror of the 1st film steps back in favor of more robust action sequences, but the terrifying intensity remains electric throughout. An effective #AudioDescription script is skillfully read by Darren Polish, who was a well chosen AD voice on Netflix's Bloodline. Strangely, his is the only attribution given. No company name or writer credit. Available through iTunes. #Blind

#ADReview M3gan. Touted as a thriller, it also boasts a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor sprinkled throughout. In other words, don't go into it seeking an airtight story. The dour-voiced Adrienne Barbeau reads a competent AD script by GBH Access. Available on iTunes and Prime in the USA.

#ADReview Evil Dead Rise. A relentlessly gory and terifying entry in the series, this should satisfy fans old and new. William Michael Redman turns in another stellar #AudioDescription performance, reading a strong script from @deluxe1915. Available on iTunes and Prime in the USA.

#ADReview: The Midnight Club. Mike Flanagan continues his hot streak on Netflix with a teen-led horror series which, unlike many YA shows, is actually scary. And as usual with his works, the horror truly isn't the centerpiece. Grief, loss, and profound disease are examined through a lens of horror. With a skillfully written script and adept #AudioDescription narration, IDC shows once again why they're one of the top tier purveyors of quality AD.
