Anyone in my area (St Louis, MO) in need of a friendly cat? This guy followed our daughter to the front door last night. I posted his info and have searched missing cats but haven't had any luck. I'll let the post stay up for a few days but I know how these things go. He's been living under cars as that's where he went last night.
We already have 4 cats or I'd gladly give him a home. I'm not sure we'd be the right environment at this point.

The St Louis County Pet Adoption Center is currently waiving all fees on adoptions starting today due to over crowding. All pets adopted are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all shots.
If anyone in the St Louis area is looking for a new friend and family member, now might be a good time to visit the shelter.

I try not to share stuff like this but these two dogs sound like a special pair and deserve a fresh start with good people. The story is basically two female dogs raising a litter of 8 puppies together. They're super bonded and need to be homed together. If I wasn't breaking code already I'd take them myself.

On August 13, 2010, I walked into the Berkeley Animal Shelter and this little monster head-butted his way into my heart.

@punko @gorfram @lzvolk In Australia where I am from, cats can be considered an invasive species (but I suppose they are considered useful as pets, so people turn a blind eye, as opposed to a fox or a mouse), and have undoubtedly done a lot of harm for our native wildlife. The council I reside in only recently enacted a rule to say cats must be kept indoors or within a persons yard so long as they can't escape. One of the solutions (long term) would be to #AdoptNotShop as the demand in kittens/specific breeds population going.
The suggestion of vegans contributing to animal death for their food is a very common thing being said in these debates. I suggest you watch this video with an open mind, which debunks this myth (in a nut shell, yes obviously any food grown in nature is at the expense of others, but the goal is to minimise suffering, eliminating the majority of suffering is a fantasy or only possible if all fruits and vegetables were grown in a lab).
