After almost a year of interrupted or unavailable #Adderall I finally have a new psych NP and a new prescription for #Vyvanse and I’m almost in tears imagining actually being able to do my job, manage relationships, !READ! without constant force and terror of failure. I needed to try something new anyways, Adderall effectiveness was reducing after 7+ years, although I’m not looking forward to the month long process to find the right dose again.

Pharmacy operator seemed surprised when I thanked him for confirming that I had done nothing wrong and that it was purely a shortage issue.

This Adderall shortage is the WORST. I've been on a generic, and even that is backordered now. The pharmacy said I should call around to other pharmacies to see if they have it in stock, and then notify my dr. that I need a new scrip at that pharmacy. Bruh, do you know how much executive function that requires? Which I don't have without my meds? Would you ask a person who needs crutches to go through an obstacle course before you'd provide them?

As someone else said, the government didn't seem to care as infants starved for lack of formula. Will they care now?

Andy's reminder pinged. She acknowledged it and went to take her second daily dose of Adderall, thankful to live in a world where medicine producers never just decided it was okay to be short on something people need to function. She felt happy to be in a timeline where she could focus for more than five minutes rather than one of the ones where she would be an unmedicated mess crying in a corner when she was supposed to be working.

My meds finally got filled. My pharmacist had to fill name brand to avoid the #adderallshortage I guess. This increased my copay 600%.
Name brand Adderall and one of the most popular generics (in me experience) are manufactured by the same company.
I paid a 600% upcharge for different shaped pills. This country is fucking broken.

CW: Been quiet, here's a long update!
Starting to fall back into the birdsite habit of lurking and retweeting instead of trying to engage with peeps. Let’s change that with an update!
- My normal #ChronicPain issue has subsided substantially (lol) over the last month with the help of new meds and therapy. Unfortunately the pain has now moved to my shoulder/back and has kept me up all night for the last 3 days! Last night was comparatively much better, so I’m hoping to get back to a normal sleep schedule soon.
- Still suffering from the #AdderallShortage with everyone else; I’m not adding more to my project list until I can cross some off, which may take until the end of February at this rate…
- Looking into starting Twitch streaming, hopefully tomorrow! Starting with #Minecraft seems almost too stereotypical, but at the same time the seed on the server I just started has been INSANE so far and I want to capture the hype while it’s early on. I could find some success with the more interesting indie games I have stacked in my Steam library, but I’m not sure that people would seek that out on Twitch?
- Narrowing down what I’d like to do for a more guaranteed-paying job once I’m feeling well enough to work again. I’m realizing I have an aptitude for #DogTraining and I’d love to get a new puppy to test myself with, but puppies are SPENDY. The other option is apprenticing/shadowing at a shelter, which I’d have to feel well enough to do…gah dogs are fun though!
