YouTube now seem to think I am going to catch #sneks for Jesus (I'm sure Jesus won't mind if I remain in Blighty, where the only venomous #snek I know of (a black #adder - they are real, I saw one a few years back in South Oxfordshire when I lived in SE England) is 30 miles/48 km from here and won't bother me, and the South African dude can carry on catching them (he always lets them free afterwards away from all the people).

At the midwinter employee orientation, the little snake was sitting in the front row, if not bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, well, bright-eyed and shiny-scaled.

The HR guy looked at the diminutive serpent quizzically.

One thing I'm liking about #verilog
is that you can often make a more elegant #algorithm by using wires, if you look at them as variable aliases.

Like in a ripple-carry #adder, the sum's msb can be a wire to the top end of a carry #vector, removing a special case in a for loop.

Are there any "real" #programming #languages that have a connection-based idea? I guess a #pointer could be used that way. (Or simply a copy op, but that feels less elegant.)
