Krinkles the Clown
Krinkles was the mascot for Post Sugar Rice Krinkles cereal, introduced in 1956. Post launched the cereal to compete with Kellogg's Sugar Smacks. They eventually dropped Krinkles + the cereal underwent several name changes (Frosted Rice Krinkles) before the product line was discontinued in 1969. It seems the actor playing Krinkles remains a mystery to this day!

UK Creative director TJ Sawyerr travelled to his father’s homeland in Accra Ghana to create this ad campaign for converse. Working with an all Ghanian team including photographer Jude Lartey these images are spectacular!
Sawyerr’s connection to his ancestral home comes with a message. In his own words:
“I have and will never stop telling the stories of my people and using my work to challenge the misinformation and prejudice that surrounds them. This project is a huge part of that, shedding light upon the raw beauty of our culture and homeland, as a direct challenge to the ignorantly misleading and negative media that so often surrounds it.“
