#Adalah, the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, has published a report titled Apartheid in Israeli Academia: Palestinian Students After 7 October 2023. It documents a two-track disciplinary system: after 7 October, universities and colleges suspended or expelled Palestinian students over social media posts, often under pressure from government officials, and opened proceedings against them for expressing Palestinian identity, posting religious content, or criticizing the war, while incitement from other groups went largely unpunished. Palestinian students were routed through an emergency administrative track with fewer procedural protections than their Jewish-Israeli peers, and across the roughly 40 institutions the report covers, many now self-censor and feel less secure on campus. That divide, Adalah argues, amounts to #apartheid in Israeli higher education.
