When Martin Luther—undoubtedly projecting his own deeply internalized self-image—called the Pope (to his face!) "just another stinking sinner," he was almost on target.
That radically democratic urge is correct. But it's much better channeled through compassion, rather than through contempt.

You may know that I'm a proud #Exvangelical but occasionally like to speculate what distinguishes #Christofascism from #ActualChristianity
Today's example comes down to slightly different versions of the same line that make all of the difference in the world.
Actual Christianity:

Absolutely. Even since twitter I tried to get something like #WhiteChristianNationalism isn't #ActualChristianity going.
I used to say Christian Nationalism & MAGA Fascism isn't just a more fervent Christianity. It is it's own monster, hybridized with White Supremacy.
It's only goals, power & control.

It's an angle that I've suggested attacking them from, as well. I used to put #ChristianNationalism is not #ActualChristianity but it seemed to rile up more of my allies than opposition, so I pretty much stopped.
I still say attacking them from that angle is good. The whole exercise now is bursting their bubble. Make them question what their true core beliefs are then have them interact with freaks, leftists and trans people.

No = everyone else, including Christians that believe we should live in a modern, pluralistic society
