I've thought a lot about the UX of image-sharing in decentralised networks. It would be good to integrate image management across gallery apps like Piwigo, file-sync apps like NextCloud, and photo-sharing in social apps. There could be a role for something like @activitypods here.

What I'd really like to see is BlueSky modifying their AT protocol to allow AT relays to treat ActivityPub servers as Personal Data Servers. Maybe by using aspects of the Solid protocol, as demonstrated by @activitypods?

Ok, @activitypods is a pretty cool concept, but I really do take issue with this statement from their website:

"ActivityPub wants to make it possible to create decentralized apps. But to post videos, you need an account on a PeerTube instance. And to post images, you need an account on a PixelFed instance."

So.... how exactly am I posting this without using any account from Pixelfed or Peertube?:

ActivityPods hat die Version 2.0 veröffentlicht. Das Projekt verbindet die persönlichen Datenspeicher (POD) des Solid-Projekts mit einem ActivityPub-Framework.

Damit sollte man eine Anwendung für das #Fediverse bauen können, die über das Solid-Netzwerk sowas wie eine nomadische Identität realisieren könnte. Für mich klingt das Konzept sehr spannend.

Something that is criminally undervalued is the impact on Devs that were mistreated by Elons greed and stupidity, have had on the #Fediverse. Since December there’s been insane innovation and growth. Not just growth in users but projects as well. I don’t meant to leave anyone out, but to name a few we got Ice Cubes, Ivory, Radiant etc
Kbin launched and both #Kbin and #Lemmy benefitted from #Reddit attempting to follow Musks stupidity. There’s so many new users and quality content. #artemisapp for Kbin is amazing.
Lemmy has exploded with so many apps such as Articus,#Bean, Sync for Lemmy etc
Then we got #Calckey being reborn as #Firefish . Insane innovation and updates with #PixelFed
We also got #ActivityPods and so much more. I’m very excited for the future of the Fediverse

I will try to keep this brief. Since my mother's passing two years ago, I have struggled in every aspect of my life. Outside of my family and even then, rarely have I felt happy or motivated. Several months back I checked my inbox and had messages from strangers that shared with me the helpfulness and the kindness my mother extended to them. One person shared how it kept them alive. I have not grieved in a healthy manner at all, I don't even look at pictures of my mother because I can't bring myself to. These stories made me think of her warmth and I also thought of how much she loved to write and share on social media. This combined with several social factors birthed the idea of me making my own social media platform. A great deal of hard work is going into it and I think it's the most beautiful platform. I finally feel motivated, this project is allowing me to grieve my mother in a healthy manner for the first time.
