@wadavxx mnie nie dziwi zupełnie. W całej Europie jest o tym cicho. To kolejna po #acta pipa sopa ceta czy co tam jeszcze było próba przepchnięcia kontroli internetu. Klasa rządząca liczy, że tym razem w końcu się uda. Jakby ludzie o tym wiedzieli - gdyby to było w mediach - to by teraz były już zamieszki a ludzie zrobiliby jesień średniowiecza. Nie wiem czy pamiętasz protesty w sprawie ACTA. Teraz powinny być 10x takie.

Correct, #ACTA was genuine but that’s why I’m writing it in double quotes (“ACTA2”). That campaign was manipulative in every single aspect of it, starting from the “ACTA2” name and ending with an obscure website which collected people’s emails and provided zero information on who manages it. The Copyright Directive (2019/790) had literally nothing to do with the original ACTA, it was processed in the normal legislation track with full transparency so the whole point of linking it to ACTA was to build a negative association. The whole “Stop ACTA2” was a classic smear campaign, likely orchestrated by the usual GAFAM suspects and I see the their fingerprints in the eIDAS campaign too.

I really like the advice of Prof. Katherine Lee in "#Career paths for #academic #biostatisticians" (https://doi.org/10.25374/MCRI.24226324.v1). Prof. Lee describes not just types of career but also how to progress in them. It's easy to forget (or be unaware of) the diversity of work that (bio)statisticians are involved in and this gives a nice overview.
