Just bought & watched the movie #SpringsteenDeliverMeFromNoWhere on #DVD that I bought on whim, even though it didn't get much publicity or praise and had only a limited theatrical release.
The movie is mainly about Springsteen's writing & production of his album #Nebraska which is an homage to his life growing up (NOT in Nebraska) which now is considered one of his masterworks.
The movie has not been well reviewed but I had no problem with it. It is darker & slower but no less engaging IMO than the #Dylan biopic, #ACompleteUnknown.
It rate it a 6 out of 10 & worth watching, of course, if you're a Springsteen fan, but also if you're just a fan of music who is interested in the creative music making process.

#Iwatched #ACompleteUnknown (2024). As a biopic it's kind of a miss. It's not historically accurate by far, nor does it provide insights into Dylan's mind ("I'm Not There" did that). He arrives in NYC 1961 as an introverted asshole with genius song writing skills and leaves Newport Folk Festival the same way in 1965. His character development remains opaque. But you do get the chance to experience this time and the NYC folk scene and watch some phenomenal singing performances by the actors.

Para compensar #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce y #TragonesYMazmorras.De los 8 libros destaco #LaRebelióndeCameroth (@ Victoria Álvarez dónde está el 3er libro) y #NoConfíesenAsherHall, el resto fue ponerme al día con sagas juveniles y un par de poemarios meh. He llegado a 400 libros leídos en #StoryGraph ✌🏻

It's curious to me that some movies now being released for general distribution for home use are ONLY being released in BluRay but not basic DVD format.
#ACompleteUnknown & #TheAmateur are current examples or this.
I also just bought a copy of #LoveMe -- a peculiar post-appopcalytic love story between a buoy & satellite voiced by Steven Yuen & Kristen Stewart -- that I saw at the theater & which also has only been released in BluRay.
Price doesn't seem to be the reason because the BluRay copy of the same movie released in DVD is often LESS than the cost of DVD.
I've got a BluRay player but many people do not &, while DVDs are upward compatible with BluRay players, DVD players cannot play BluRay discs.
This is the reason that I prefer to buy movies in DVD format, even though the image & sound quality of BluRay is arguably better.
So, it would make more sense to distribute movies mainly in DVD format & to do otherwise will just limit distribution.
Is that the "plan?" 🤔
