According to Ovid, Galatea the sea-nymph fell in love with Acis, son of Pan, but their relationship was cut short by the cyclops Polyphemus, who also pined after Galatea. In an act of jealousy, Polyphemus hurled a massive rock at Acis, crushing him under it. #LegendaryWednesday
