  1. It continues to amaze me that I have this thing in my chest. It's a stent keeping my aorta nice and open; I have congenital heart defects, and the stent is helping out with that. (X-ray from Monday: it's been a week...).

  3. Back at Barts for an echo and check-up. It is such a lovely hospital. I always make sure to spend a few minutes reflecting in the chapel before my appointment. #achd

  4. A lot to be thankful for today. But particularly thankful for people like Derelyn Love, one of many patients who accepted the risk of pioneering surgery so that people like me could also be treated... #nhs75 #achd

  7. Now 14 weeks since open heart surgery and some wins with my rehab this week - my first little (very short, slow, supervised) run on a treadmill on Weds, and today a 5.3km walk including beach, slow hill climb, cliff top views, and ice cream. I’m pretty happy :) #ACHD

The surgery took several hours and I was in hospital for just over a month.

I happened to be nearby a few weeks ago so got a snap of me outside.💔#chd #achd
