This is odd. Edison #CylinderPlayer s have these little screws so that you can adjust the level of the reproducer (and stylus) relative to the cylinder. My original player has one, but it's missing in the one I'm fixing up now. I have no idea what size it's supposed to be. I went to a local #ACEHardware and searched all over for one that would fit.
I found one that seemed to. But it's metric! That can't be correct, can it? It fits with a little wiggle, but so does the original, actually. They were only $0.47 each, so I took some home. Cheap enough to get as an interim and toss if I find a more accurate fit later. (Would have been a low-cost shopping trip, but they have a big display of jars of honey and BBQ sauce to catch you on the way out).
I will be consulting with the masters of the cylinder player internet over this.

I was looking for a new corded 3/8" electric drill to replace one that I bought over 40 years ago & that's been sitting unused in a storage box for most of that time.

I have a battery operated Dewalt 3/8 drill but its 18V batteries went dead again because of age & lack of use. The OEM batteries are really expensive. I recall paying $60-70 each for them at one time but I found a pair of knockoffs that for just $30 on #Amazon that get good reviews that I'm going to give a try.

Anyway, found a couple of corded 3/8" electric drills at my local #AceHardware but they're more expensive than the same drills sold on Amazon. I also looked for one at Tractor Supply but they didn't have any.
So, looks like I'm also going to buy the drill from Amazon. 🤷‍♂️

Another company who is dead to me, #AceHardware . They blocked my VPN twice while browsing their website. I'll pay the slightly higher price for my power drill from #lowes instead who isn't blocking me when I use a VPN & block trackers.

Everyone that gets hit by websites denying them access due to using a VPN and/or AdBlocker when you are a paying customer should stop paying those companies immediately. It's the only way we will win this insane commercial/privacy battle.

In other instances, attackers have posed as agents of the Epicor Software Corporation, one of Ace’s contractors, calling Ace stores and requesting account credentials for network troubleshooting.
