Came up on FB, 10 years ago today was pretty much my only solo #cimbalom concert in #Vancouver as part of a variety show of mostly #accordions and #ukuleles
This was an immense and busted-up cimbalom of unknown origin I had bought on craigslist. normally they have 1) a tiny plaque with the maker's name and 2) a carved wooden frame around the instrument but both were missing.
I should really work on performing in public again sometime! I've sung in a choir but never this. #FolkMusic

The UK newspaper the Guardian has a nice story today about a Welshman in Ohio. The main thrust of the story and indeed its headline focuses on him learning the Welsh language at age 71. But it also covers him impulsively deciding to learn the button #accordion at age 65.
