Bog-standard TPS tactics.

I can ABSOLUTELY tell you why the police ram bicycles. And I tell you pretty much every time I watch cops interact with marshals at actions.

Cops do not like being shown that they're superfluous. Most of them got into the profession because they need to control situations that they feel frightened by.

And this isn't me just talking out of my ass; I can go look for it, but there was an study that examined the personality type of people who join the military and policing for *non-financial* reasons. (Which is a most with policing.)

There are people who are afraid of change, afraid of anything that goes against the status quo.

Anyway, not the point I was planning on making.

I deeply regret not screenshotting the orginal headline that didn't give the filthy 🐖🐖🐖 weaseling out room, but at least Google serves a purpose now and again.

Originally headline and "updated" version still retrievable.
