நான் விரும்பி வாசிக்கும் தளமொன்றில் சமயத்தையும் குவாண்டம் இயற்பியலையும் இணைக்கும் போக்கை நிராகரித்து கிடுக்கிப்பிடி கேள்வி ஒன்று எழுப்பியிருந்தார்கள் – “இதெல்லாம் எப்படி இருக்கிறது என்றால் நீங்கள் ஃபிரிட்ஜை திறந்து பார்க்கும்போதுதான் உணவு அங்கு தோன்றுகிறது என்று சொல்வது போல்.” இந்த தர்க்கத்தை நான் முழுமையாக ஏற்றுக் கொள்கிறேன்.

இன்றைக்கு ஒரு முக்கிய வேலையாக மருத்துவமனை போக வேண்டியிருந்தது. அங்கே ஒரு பெரிய சிகிச்சை தேவைப்படும் என்று சொன்னார்கள். முன்னமேயே அதன் எஸ்டிமேட் கேட்டிருந்தபோது மூன்றிலிருந்து ஆறு லகரம் வரை ஆகலாம் என்று சொல்லியிருந்தார்கள். இப்போது எஸ்டிமேட் கேட்குமிடத்தில் அவர்கள் கணினியை பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும்போதே எனக்கு தலை கிறுகிருவென்று வந்துவிட்டது.
ஆங்கிலத்தில், அவசியம்தான் கண்டுபிடிப்பின் தாய், என்பது போல் ஏதோ சொல்வது முழுக்க முழுக்க உண்மை. அந்த நிமிட அதி தீவிர அச்சத்தில், “கடவுளே, இதற்கான மருத்துவ செலவு குறைவாக இருக்கும் உலகுக்கு என்னைக் கொண்டு போய் விடு,” என்று மனமார வேண்டிக் கொண்டேன். ஆச்சரியம் பாருங்கள், கணினியிலிருந்து கண்ணை எடுத்த அந்த அம்மையார், “ஒரு லகரம் ஆகும்,” என்று சொல்லி அதை எழுதியும் தந்து விட்டார்!
கிரிஸ் எவரெட்டின் பல்லுலக கோட்பாடு மெய் என்பதற்கும், பிரக்ஞையே நாமறிந்த புறவுலகை சாத்தியமாக்குகிறது என்று சொல்லும் குவாண்டம் இயற்பியல் மெய் என்பதற்கும், இறைச் செயல்களுக்கு குவாண்டம் இயற்பியல் நம்பத்தகுந்த விளக்கம் அளிக்கிறது என்பதற்கும் வேறென்ன நிரூபணம் வேண்டும்?
இதை நீங்கள் நம்புவதும் நம்பாததும் உங்கள் விருப்பம், அதைப் பற்றி நான் ஒன்றும் சொல்வதற்கில்லை. ஆனால் உங்களுக்கு விருப்பம் இருக்கிறதோ இல்லையோ அந்த ஒரு சிகிச்சைக்கு விலை குறைந்த உலகுக்கு உங்களையும் என்னோடு கூட்டி வந்து விட்டேன் என்பதை மறுப்பதற்கில்லை.

#Christianity is about #lies and #cruelty. If you want more people to believe, you need to come up with a better #story. Because the story you're pushing is full of holes and #absurdities.
