I am really proud of this one. And I love the fact that it is designer gouache, what a beautiful medium!

One day, I wish to make a living from my art, even if in five years, I would be very glad. I have questions, curiosity, all that leads me toward new art. I love my art, while I still would love to ask you, should I add yellow dots onto the flowers from my last post? I created the blue with just cobalt blue and white, and forgot to add some yellow buds. Questions that keep me going, how do I create super neat stuff, how do I spell flower buds... I am three years into gouache now and my mind is just slowly allowing me to have a concept of what I do. And can I use the #watercolor hashtag for gouache art, too?

I paint watercolors on white, and sometimes I cut out the art and put it on a layer in photoshop.
The hard part is always getting a smooth edge and having the edge look natural and painted. The technique works best on lighter colors. I had some luck with this color background.

This is a mixed-media layered painting, mostly acrylic. It took me quite a few layers to end up with a quieter painting. I'm always trying to find a way to bring color to a softer pallet.
