The Finder app on macOS is so incredibly dumb and I don't get why Apple doesn't fix it. If I have copied a file (C-c) and then select a folder and hit C-v, of course the file should be pasted into that selected folder, regardless of what the root folder for the window is. I can't fathom why this is not the case. Lots of small idiotic issues like this, in addition to the glacially slow operations.
