Tip-in is sweet and bitter that is not meshing well with the toasted malt, and the peanut butter is adding more to this than is likely desirable.

The bread malt is there, and it tries to imbue the beverage with a certain kind of beer goodness, but there's only so much you can do.

First sip is not sour. I don't know why it smelled that way, but it does. I can't say that it completely got rid of the vinegar, though.

Another beer that (like a Blonde Stout) provides a shock when poured into a glass, and another shock when you take a sip: Abita's Helles Doppelbock. It does taste exactly like you'd guess from the name, though: sharp, bubbly, and clean like a helles, but caramel malty like a doppelbock. I like it, but from the reviews on Beer Advocate is appears to not be everyone's cup of tea. Or beer.
