Lunch out again today, at Bean & Bread. Both went for Chicken Caesar on sourdough toast. The crunchy toast replaces the croutons you'd get in a Caesar salad bowl. So good.

Our 2 bedroom holiday cottage (sleeps up to 6) is now available for the weekend of the Abergavenny Food Festival, if you haven't sorted accommodation yet. We're about 15 minutes drive from the town centre, but located in a very quiet and peaceful village.

Yaaaaaaaaay! Met @[email protected] for lunch today in Abergavenny, our first time meeting. We went to my favourite local Turkish place. Was sooooo nice and we basically didn't stop talking the entire time!

Woke up at 2am to the smell of #smoke outside. Got up and checked immediate surroundings and all clear. Checked the local news sources, and confirmed this morning, that this is smoke from a #Wildfire nearly 30 miles away in Blaenavon, near #Abergavenny
It was bad enough here in #Cardiff to want to keep the windows closed here so thoughts are with those living closer 🙁 -

We have had a fab evening listening to the delightful #catrinfinch at the Borough Theatre in #abergavenny.
Such emotion & depth in the music and her performance captivated the entire audience all evening.
Her new album is called Note to Self, and contains letters to her 13 yr old self.
I have just realised that we are practically family, as she was married to Dafydd Wigley's son and my first partner would have been his second cousin, and hers by marriage.
What a small world we live in, eh!

When I was in Bracknell, I attended most months (easy on train). It had people like Guy Kewney even, and, well, people like me 🙂
Now I am in Wales I miss that.
I am wondering if I need to *start* a thing - a first Wednesday in an Indian in Aber. We may have three of us so far.

Plan for dinner was risotto but Pete discovered a distinct lack of risotto rice in our cupboard desk we went off for Thai at K&K Kitchen in town instead (and picked up some rice at the supermarket after). #foodsky #thaifood #abergavenny
