Heute habe ich im Pierre Boulez Saal Berlin ein Konzert erlebt, auf das ich mich schon sehr lange gefreut habe - ein Soloabend mit Abel Selaocoe.
Der südafrikanische Cellist, Sänger und Komponist hat mich bereits vor 3 Jahren sehr beeindruckt, als er mit dem Bantu-Ensemble auftrat. Dieser heutige Soloabend war eine Offenbarung und ein Credo für die wunderbare Kraft der Vielfalt und der musikalischen Leidenschaft. -
I tried looking for a #NewMusic album of #AbelSelaocoe, who did an amazing live performance on @youtube_nprmusic with his #cello & #voice, but I couldn't find any on #bandcamp 🤷
However, I did find several projects where he participated in. One of them is the #Contours music project of DJ Tom Burford, who in his latest 'Elevations' album collaborates with #Jazz & #ClassicalMusic artists mixing their acoustic sounds into his excellent #BrokenBeat #ElectronicMusic tracks.
