Painted murals decorate the walls, featuring a variety of scenes and landmarks from Brazil. Avenues lined with palm trees, a flowing fountain, ruined castles, a lake with pink ibis and banana trees. The most eye-catching part of the room is the bold stripe floor, crafted with wood imported from Brazil.

Essa formatação só vai penalizar a história que é contada, por muito boa que seja. O sotaque inglês do Contra-Informação é giro numa paródia, não necessariamente numa série histórica como #Abandonados, que está a estrear agora na RTP1.
Foi esse pormenor que me perdeu, fora outros pormenores que ainda se fazem por cá (como um certo excesso de explicação do que está a acontecer).

Sobre #Abandonados:
A ficção portuguesa (tanto no cinema como, e sobretudo, na TV) está a passar por uma fase que é semelhante a uma qualquer emissão do Saturday Night Live (ou, por cá, do Docas): o sketch é bom? Fixe. É mau? Uma pena. Mas, no final de ambos, a atitude é: “venha o próximo”.
O mesmo nas séries portuguesas: a fasquia subiu, e continua a subir. O que era aceite nos anos 90 não pode nem deve ser o padrão de qualidade para o que é feito hoje em dia.
