✈️ Mayday, mayday! A mysterious plane wreckage, lost in the forest of Belgium. But things are not always as they seem!
In reality, this plane is a movie star! Brought here as a prop for a short film, for some reason, the crew did not remove it afterwards. It sat forgotten for years, surrounded by nature. Eventually, it was removed a few months after I took these photos :)
With its submarine-like appearance and covered in copper, the Arts et Métiers #metro station is truly the most beautiful 🙂
Imagined and designed by Schuiten, it was inaugurated in October 1994 for the celebration of the bicentenary of the Conservatoire National du musée des Arts et Métiers.

After the straight lines of #ArtDeco, it is a return to fluid lines, to curves, in a search for aerodynamics and aestheticism. A brand new #JulesVerne spirit lamp that I created from a terrestrial globe over which a small metal moon watches. The foot is an assembly of different steel and brass parts. The cage-shaped lampshade, in old-style riveted steel, comes from an antique boat oil lamp.
