Since his booting from parliament, Gilmore has been reduced to doing walk-on parts including standing for the Wellington mayoralty, avoiding debt collectors and being sued by his parents.

Mysteriously, the bankruptcy application was adjourned in the High Court on Wednesday with the liquidator reporting that Gilmore had largely paid the $500k+ debt.

So who bailed him out this time? Was it his Mum and Dad? Or was it the in-laws?
