  14. Aardgnolls are notoriously picky eaters with a diet that primarily consists out of insects and eggs.

Their favourite source of food are giant termite larvae and for this reason they are known to keep giant terminates around their villages, sometimes even training the adults for combat.

  18. Aardwolf (Proteles cristatus)

A sprinting aardwolf (‘earth wolf’) is photographed mid-stride as it gallops through the shrubby plains. Though it may look like a hyena – and is even sometimes categorised as one – the aardwolf is in fact an insectivore, and uses its sticky tongue to catch and eat harvester termites.

  28. The other day was Hyena Day, and so I turned people into yeens! Though it seems that Aardwolves were the popular vote that evening lmao~

  29. @KateShaw has made a great new episode about the African wild dog, also known as the painted dog or the painted wolf. Next follows the aardwolf ... dog-like, but actually a hyena. Finally, the Ethiopian wolf, which ends with a neat surprise.

  30. I also got to do a #tracking evaluation! I've done a few of these in the U.S. and enjoy the protocol: they're assessments and you get a score, but more importantly they're a huge learning opportunity about wildlife sign, species and behavior. So it was in the #Kalahari where the eval was administered and scored entirely by our Ju/'hoansi hosts. I didn't score well at all--so many ungulate species! So many birds!--but I learned a ton. That there exists something called an #aardwolf, for example.

  31. I guess my November YouTube videos is weekly Aardwolf MUD gameplay. :0

  32. "The sounds of the enormous steam engine that powers this train is almost
deafening. A train is straight ahead, barreling down the tracks toward
    you.

    This could be a problem."

"Casey Jones exclaims 'I can't stop her!!'
Casey Jones reaches over, grabs you, and throws you from the engine.
    You see nothing but darkness..."

    "> look
Amid the devastation of a train wreck [**> PK <**]
You wake to a scene of fire and chaos. The smoke invades your
    lungs and burns your eyes."

  33. I am almost done with the academy in #Aardwolf #MUD I just have to explore more and do another quest.

I did randomly wander to the Carnivale, widdle some wood, did some jousting, etc.

Also wandered somewhere else and adopted a Dodo.

Then wandered to a farm and killed weeds and beetles that were attacking crops.

    I don't know what I'm doing I'm just exploring.

  35. Thanks to @rosaroja10 for compiling a list of software I didn't have in #FediverseIconography @ fediverse.wake.st

    I added the following forks: #小森林 (aka #LittleForest, by @mashiro), #kmyblue (by @official), #Decodon (by @frequency), @catodon, #Chuckya (by wetdry.world)
...and then we got some new non-forks: #Aardwolf (by @banjofox2), @vidzy and finally @phanpy (which is a client not a server but I think that distinction is mostly meaningless for the purpose of this project)
