The following firmware information is found:

    • SM-A556E: A556EXXSECZDE [INS]
    • SM-A556B: A556BXXSECZDE [EUX]

Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later. Make sure that you apply all available updates once you update your phone for maximum stability. An update might take 5 to 10 minutes to apply, depending on the device and the type of the update being applied.

If you’re seeing “Your software is up to date,” this means that the update hasn’t reached your device yet. Keep checking for updates, as Samsung rolls it out gradually to all devices from country to country, usually starting from Korea.

  6. I really like my current smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A55, and I still believe that my decision back then to choose this specific model over the newer A56 at the time was the better choice, especially because of the expandable SD card and the fact that there’s less “AI” stuff in the system.

Nevertheless, I’m watching the development of Samsung’s A-series with concern due to the increasing integration of “AI,” which will likely lead me to eventually move away from this company and its otherwise relatively good devices. 🤔

I had already noted this in the following post: quasselkopf.de/@kranzkrone/114

I’d love to use GrapheneOS, but due to its toxic communication, this project is absolutely not an option for me.🤬

I’d rather go with a FairPhone or one running /e/OS.🙄 😉

Note that the update process may take 15 to 20 minutes, and this can vary from device to device. The download process may incur extra charges if you’re using the cellular network as the update size is around 5 GB, depending on the device, so we recommend downloading it through Wi-Fi. Never interrupt the update process in any way, or problems may occur. Make sure that your phone gets charged before you initiate the installation process.

  32. Samsung Galaxy A56 vs A55

    What we liked:
    - Better performance
    - Finally, charging speed upgrade in A series to 45W
    - 6 major software updates and 6 years of security patches

    What we didn't like:
    - Slightly heavier UI and more battery consumption
    - Not a fan of A56 lacking microSD
