Not far from where my gramma and grampa J lived in Harbert, Michigan. I’ll get back there at some point and walk along the Lake Michigan beach where I once did with my dad when I was A LOT younger (like, about 50 years younger!)

There is something _very_ unusual in the accompanying photo, and once you realize there's a #submarine floating in the channel leading directly to #LakeMichigan, some hundreds of yards away, you might be not be aware that it's actually a #maritime #museum that hosts tours throughout the year.
The #USS #Silversides (SS-236): is a Gato-Class World War II submarine that is restored to its original running specs and is ready for visitors.

Some interesting birds from a trip to Manitowoc on Monday. Horned Grebe, Red-breasted Merganser, Ross's Goose, and Bufflehead ducks. There were many other cool birds on Lake Michigan, the Harbor, and the Manitowoc Impoundment. #wisconsinbirds #manitowoc #lakemichigan
