Thanks for the promising #Fedimeister app. It has come a long way since 1.0.

I'd like your help with the following:

1. Is it possible to set message visibility, or are posts always public? FYI I'm creating this post from the app and like it to be visible just to you but I don't find a way to do that.

I composed a post in #fedimeister (ironically with some questions about the app) but hitting "Publish" caused this error message. What am I doing wrong? 🙏

K then, pruned my following a bit (mostly removed dead accounts, some courtesy follows). That was a bit more work than it should have been, thanks to a lack of strategy.

So, how do you guys do your #Mastodon spring cleaning? I'm trying to come up with an algorithm for #fedimeister to find likely candidates.

I get quite a number of boosts when doing threads and it's fun writing them, too (some may call it #Mastodon stutter, but it's actually a useful writing style for getting to the point). Minor problem though: I feel bad when getting a boost without giving one in return. It should be reciprocal, but there isn't always opportunity.

So, how about an IOY feature in #Fedimeister? Something that keeps track of who boosts you and deserves one in return? That would even be mutually beneficial. Opinions?

There's this funny thing, I keep hearing a lot from #Journalists in one way or the other when comparing #Twitter to #Mastodon and the #Fediverse:

"We get way more engagement on Mastodon than on Twitter, but it only sends us a a fraction of the visitors and nothing ever goes viral".

Conclusion: if you want attention, just stick with Twitter, right? Case closed. Well, not exactly. Time for another #Fedimeister thread!

You can use #Fedimeister for this. You'd have to create one session person, then distribute the .prf files among the org leaders.

No one will need the password and the sessions show up individually (and can also individually be terminated) from the settings in the mastodon webclient.

New release of the #Fedimeister #Mastodon client. Minor changes this time.

I think, I'll add a "discover interesting people" feature next.

I'm not sure how it will work exactly yet, but the general idea is to have a multi pass filter that sits ontop of a hashtag (e.g. #introduction ), then looks at the profile for additional clues (e.g. featured hashtags).

So, how is everyone deciding on whom to follow/interact with?

Feature requests are welcome ;).

Technically what, @pluralistic does can already be archived with #fedimeister (feel free to suggest it to him). The only thing different is that he posts his articles chunked and in reverse order, so they can be read raw, directly on the timeline instead of as a thread.

I was thinking about implementing this as an alternative style as well.

Hi, right now, your only option to report bugs is to DM/mention me or use #fedimeister

I tried your URL and Profile ID, both parse fine. However, while testing, I noticed, that you can accidentally copy&paste additional whitespace before/after the address, which will result in the parse error.

@redegelde I am seeing all of your posts in your #fedimeister thread’ in my timeline, randomly posted (not in any order). So it’s a bit spammy? Especially if the threaded post is really long.
