  1. “Let’s see how fast Miss Doralee Rhodes can hog-tie this lying sexist egotistical bigot! Five seconds! *ding ding* LOL! This was a good idea! #9to5

Best part is Lily’s run. Animated woodland creatures and lots of savior imagery ftw!

    Lying… sexist… egotistical… bigot…

Gonna have to catch my breath from laughter. No no, S, you don’t get to lead, not yet. ;)

  2. Before #work, this was just a good comedy movie. Now, well now it’s still all that, and perhaps, a little inspiring in a “let’s channel our rage through a funny movie…” Dabney, sweaty, hiding behind desks as office workers with bloodhounds… hunt him down. Safari style. #9to5

  3. Now we get to the boss-hunting triptych. Some of the best parts of this movie are these sequences. My imagination finds this next series of vignettes a registered “Happy Place” … better run, wabbit. ;) #9to5

  4. Just like me, drowning sorrows and regrets in mixed drinks and cannabis. It isn’t lost on me that just as I would really come to need a little herbal refreshment, Michigan legalizes it. While basting in my intense organizational displeasure, in rolls the mighty green. Giddyup. LOL. #9to5 helps with the deep professional disrespect broadcast everywhere I look. #work is shit, and we all go to therapy. At the bar and/or dispensary. LOL.

  5. This is of course insanely cathartic. The Xerox scene, the SOB Boss, shame he never asks me for a coffee. Skinny and Sweet, like you asked! LOL! Nah, he’d never. But it is therapeutic. Helps me channel my despair into laughter. Helps derail laughter from picking up an S. Dontchaknow. #9to5

  6. Another night of hating this world and everything on it. Gah I can’t stand it. Just like Agent Smith. I get what he was saying. So. I need more movie therapy. Yesterday was #Clue, tonight it’s #9to5. May Saint Dolly, Jane, Lily, and Dabney take all this awfulness off my shoulders, even if just for 90 or so minutes.

  7. "Rise and grind, King," I mutter to myself, strapping on my Capitalism harness.

As I put the bit in my mouth, I whisper,

    "Time to get that bread."

  8. "Harper Valley PTA" is a #countrySong written by #TomTHall, which in 1968 became a major international hit single for country singer #JeannieCRiley. Riley's record, her debut, sold over six million copies as a single, and it made her the first woman to top both the #BillboardHot100 and the U.S. Hot Country Singles charts with the same song (but not at the same time), a feat that would not be repeated until #DollyParton's "#9To5" 13 years later in 1981.

  9. Stoße grade wieder auf die prägnante Definition des #Kapitalismus der göttlichen Dolly Parton:

"Working nine to five, what a way to make a livin'
Barely gettin' by, it's all takin' and no givin'
They just use your mind and you never get the credit
It's enough to drive you crazy if you let it
It's a rich man's game no matter what they call it
And you spend your life puttin' money in his wallet"

  11. Terminal windows are open. Change requests are opened. Rum is poured. The scene is set. Let the production upgrade commence.

  12. Our #MusComEnt leading ladies this week are Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton, who have been friends and collaborators since they met on the set of “9 to 5” (1980)

  13. Every scene of Dabney Coleman strapped to the ceiling is Oscar worthy😂
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  14. If Annie Wilkes can keep Paul Sheldon captive for months I’m sure 3, pissed off and ambitious ladies could do the same with their shitty boss.. but this is a PG-rated 1980s comedy so🙃

  15. Things might look bleak but at least they got the right body in the trunk this time
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  16. That awkward moment when the shitty boss you thought you killed shows up at work being just as shitty as usual
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  17. I’d totally watch a “Tokyo Drift” movie starring Dolly, Jane and Lily
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  18. Hard to believe a rich, white, corporate jerk is also mean to doctors that saved this life /s
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  19. “Skinny & Sweet”, “Rid-O’Rat”… probably the same thing
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  20. After a swiftly canceled tv series of “9 to 5” came and went, the film became a successful Broadway musical in 2008 featuring music & lyrics by none other than Dolly Parton. You can listen to the OBC recording here (youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8S)

  21. The Glass Door review for this company are likely both brutal and probably closely surveilled by Roz
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  22. Yes, because I’m sure Consolidated Companies is doing such vitally important work that some mild copy room mess will bring the world to a screeching halt 🙄
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  23. Dabney Coleman is so perfectly awful and sleazy in this
    #MusComEnt #9To5

  24. Imagine marrying a man who calls women “crones”

  25. Watching #9To5 on BBC iPlayer. This film is a stone cold classic, and what’s more, it should probably be shown to teenagers as part of the national curriculum. It shows off exactly how far we came between 1980 and 2010, and it’s frickin hilarious at the same time.
