Z was released 30 years ago on 24th August 1996.

A game obviously created before online search engines.

The box cover is incredibly cool and memorable, though. Every time I saw it on shelves in stores, it was immediately drawing attention. Game reviews here in Germany were extremely positive, but I never knew anyone who had this game and it seems to have been very quickly forgotten.

I just started reading old German PC games magazines from 30 years ago to see what was going on in the world of videogames back in those days and freshen up on my memories what was new and exciting then.

And starting with PC Games issue 9/96, right after some funny ads and the table of content, the first thing I read is this.
