Zu meinem Geburtstag hab ich mir direkt zwei Runden 7 Wonders Duel gewünscht, einmal verloren einmal gewonnen ;) immer noch ein tolles Spiel wenn auch etwas glückslastig bisweilen.

Wir haben heute seit Längerem mal wieder "7 Wonders Duel" gespielt. Ein wirklich tolles und intelligent gestaltetes Spiel für zwei.

I went all in on Duel for Middle-earth (game, expansion, promos) after reading comparisons to 7 Wonders: Duel suggesting its superior.
Sigh
For us, the design changes didn’t quite land. Removing the economy and point system shifts the tension. The game offers less strategy options. The battlemap makes the winner obvious early on. There is much less room to recover from a slow start.
It may work better for others, but it didn’t click for us.

Heute haben K2 (9) und ich sturmfrei gehabt: #brettspiele raus!
Also wurde die Kampagne in #everdellduo angegangen (ohne Bild, ich vergesse das doch immer). Ihr hat es besser gefallen. Ich muss mich da erst noch eingrooven. Hatten viel weniger Punkte als im kompetitiven Modus und damit gleich mal Kapitel 1 nicht geschafft.
Danach gab es noch #7wondersduel mit der Erweiterung #pantheon. Ihr erklärtes Ziel ist in den Sommerferien noch #agora draufzupacken. Das Spiel macht einfach immer Spaß. -
Jetzt wollte K2 Revanche für gestern Abend.

Ich glaube, ich lese jetzt lieber was. Oder beginne mit nem neuen Hobby. -

Games I tried this week:
Flip 7 - Push your luck to score points. Get two of the same number and you bust. It's heavily luck based as you might imagine, but it's simply fun.
7 Wonders: Duel - A 1v1 7 Wonders experience. I can't say it went well. I was mostly choked out of resources immediately and there was no clear way for me to get back in the game once I was behind. We were both first time players so we didn't know what we were doing. I'd be willing to try it again.

Rediscovered #Dominion and #7WondersDuel this month, #BackToTheFuture Biff got the best of me in 1885, snow fell in Chicago AND #Carcassonne, #UNO No Mercy is still brutal, and my son is really good at killing me in #Unmatched with Beowolf.

Die #bgstats2024. Es war ein intensives Spielejahr mit vielen neuen Brettspielerlebnissen und das ganz ohne viele eigene Spiele zu kaufen. Klar 1-2 Spielchen sind neu dazu gekommen aber ansonsten hatte ich viel Spaß auf #boardgamearena oder habe Spiele bei Freunden entdeckt. Meine Lieblingsspiele des Jahres 2024 waren für mich definitiv #faraway #captainflip #thevaleofeternity und #castlecombo. Von #7wondersduel und #cantstop kann ich auch nach Jahren noch nicht genug bekommen. #brettspiele

Played #LordOfTheRings: Duel on #tabletopsim yesterday. It's quite an improvement from #7wondersduel. The flow feels smoother, the per turn calculation seems to be easier (without cost calc based on cards opponent has).

Just as I completed my #7WondersDuel collection with base and both expansions, Pantheon and Agora, a new spin off #TheLordOfTheRingsDuelForMiddleEarth is out and seems to be even more amazing! Need to get them all :akko_blush:

So, K2 (8) hat gerade zum ersten Mal #7wondersduel gespielt und mich gnadenlos abgezogen. Ich konnte eine Revanche auf morgen verschieben. Wer kann mir ein gutes Lernprogramm empfehlen? Muss schnell lernen. 🤣

I've heard other folks mentioning this but this is the first one to enter our collection that has actually annoyed me.
I love that a game is great and gets awards, but did ya have to cover the front of the box with it?
It's also present on the top-side, which I don't find as damning. But still...

Broke out 7 Wonders Duel for the first time today. Super engaging 2 player game with not much of a learning curve. I've got to imagine that most board gamers out there are familiar with it, but if not, this definitely gets my recommendation!
I'll be interested to see what the replay value is like in future games, there are different ways to win and a varied assortment of cards each time should allow for some randomness to the outcomes.

It’s impressive how they put a very deep and interestingly crafted game into such a short time window. I haven’t played the original #7Wonders too much outside of BGA, but this is a great offering! #BoardGames

One of my all-time favorites has to be #Dominion, the #Deckbuilding #game by #DonaldXVaccarino.Other games I do quite enjoy include #SmallWorld, #Carcassonne, #RaceForTheGalaxy, #EpicCardGame, #StarRealms, #Catan and #Ascension.
I haven't played #Splendor, #7WondersDuel and #TinyEpicKingdoms that much yet but they seem fun as well.
But #DominionCardGame #DominionGame has to be my number one for sure!

Our first two games of #7wondersduel. I lost by a large margin, then managed to wrestle a victory in the end by preventing my opponent from building her 7th. And she had never played regular #7wonders!

On a fait 5 parties depuis que mes enfants ont eu #7wonders (hier). On aimait déjà #7wondersduel. Je suppose que c'est une évidence pour tout le monde vu le nombre de prix que le jeu a reçu et le nombre de boites vendues mais c'est vraiment un excellent jeu !!!
