In love with the new #game named #MixTape
It's a narrative game, focused on teenage nosalgia, and how #music connects you to the biggest moments of your life.
Only problem: i cannot find one (edit: some!) of the songs on #deezer nor as a purchase (i tried #bandcamp and #7digital ): "Airwalker" by Bertrand Dolby.
I really wanted to rebuild the hero's mixtape!

@CTNET i find that 9999 limit so stupid. I faced it but more immediately, because i wanted to use Tidal, migrated my content to them, and hit the wall. I switched to #deezer .
If useful: if find #deezer good, their artists retribution is better, but i only use it for some discoveries, because i purchase everything i can on #bandcamp (or #7digital as a backup plan)

Da ist doch Raye in den paar Tagen, die das Album „THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE" noch in meinem Warenkorb verbracht hat, von Bandcamp verschwunden - die Albumseite liefert nur noch „Entschuldigung, das gibt es hier nicht." und die URL der Künstlerinnenseite beginnt mit „rayesongs-disabled…".
Positiver Nebeneffekt: Bei 7digital kostet der Download als FLAC-Dateien nur 10,49 € anstatt der 14 £ bei Bandcamp. Bleibt die Frage, ob bei Bandcamp mehr für die Künstlerin herausgesprungen wäre. Vermutlich war die Präsenz dort auch nur Angelegenheit der Plattenfirma - also: wohl eher nicht.

If you're in a country where this affects you, #7Digital and #HDTracks, and Amazon for that matter, sell high qualify DRM free downloads of your #music that you can keep forever, copy to all your other devices, etc. You can also buy and rip CDs.

another level of enshittification added to the already incredibly poor service from SevenDigital which has tried to stop me getting into my purchased music account on several occasions, deleted access to music that was purchased recently, lost access to music as a company due to contract issues (Sony) and basically was obedient to the whole harrassment-of-people-using-their-products effort orchestrated by the PayPal mafia, the banking-credit-&-security cartel and the Thiel buddies since at least 2020

Ich bin altmodisch und kaufe auch gerne noch Musik zum Herunterladen. Was ich nicht bei Bandcamp oder ähnlichen Angebten von Bands finde, hatte ich gerne bei 7digital.com gekauft, da dieser Shop auch viele FLAC anbietet.
Aber die "Einkaufserfahrung" wird zunehmend schlechter.1. Die Suchfunktion ist schlecht. Bitte nicht von der Vorschau der Treffer beeinflussen lassen, immer die gesamte Ergebnisliste abrufen. Möglichst vorher schon genau wissen, wie Bandname oder Titel geschrieben werden.
2. Früher klappte die Bezahlung mit Kreditkarte bei mir problemlos. Seit 2024 wird der Bezahlvorgang durch PayPal organisiert, auch wenn man keinen PayPal-Account hat. Genau aufpassen, denn es ist vorangekreuzt, dass in diesem Fall direkt ein PayPal-Account angelegt wird.
Das ganze scheint schlecht in den Shop integriert zu sein. Hatte heute mehrere Anläufe, wo nach der angeblichen Zahlung eine Login-Seite des Shops kam und der Zahlvorgang erneut durchlaufen werden musste.1/3

Is it me, or is navigating/downloading stuff from 7digital absolutely slow and horrendous?

Wollte mir letztens einen Haufen Musik bei #7digital kaufen. Waren insgesamt knapp über 60 Euro. Nach der Bestellung dann festgestellt, dass die Downloads nur über http (nicht https) möglich sind 🙈🤡
Firefox blockt das logischerweise, weil insecure.
Naja, wenigstens hat der Support auch eingesehen, dass das nicht secure ist und mir den Kaufpreis rückerstattet.
