Guys, need some #help!
My #Samsung 980 Pro is super slow, at linear reads at only 2.4GB/s. (reading from raw disk, or even hdparm):
hdparm -tT /dev/nvme0n1
Timing cached reads: 55168 MB in 1.99 seconds = 27696.71 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 7258 MB in 3.00 seconds = 2418.68 MB/secMainboard is a #MSI #X670E Gaming Plus WiFi with a Ryzen #7950X3D CPU.
lspci is reporting:
LnkCap: Port #0, Speed 16GT/s, Width x4
LnkSta: Speed 16GT/s, Width x4 -

I had some issues with Battle.net not updating on #fedora #linux so I shuffled #proton versions until it prompted to update in Battle.net. This worked but when I opened #worldofwarcraft the game was automatically selecting my #ryzen APU #7950x3D and the FPS was terrible. I had to select my discrete gpu in the in game settings menu to get a stable FPS. Hope this helps someone.

Do we have a verdict on the new #AMD #X3D processors?
The #7900X3D I've seen referred to as a stop gap, the #7800X3D being the one to wait for, but what about the #7950X3D is the premium worth it?
Primarily Gaming focus so I'm leaning towards the 7800X3D but I like to do all sorts of weird and random with the PC so leaning towards the 7950X3D there doesn't seem to be a consensus though.
