  1. The lead singer for that high school band “White Rock,” who portrayed Henry Higgins in the spring 1980 Antigo High School Drama Club’s production of “My Fair Lady,” had the Japanese radio news announcer part of this one down. It wasn’t Japanese but Bruce made it sound like it.

  2. My introduction to this one was when I was a roadie my sophomore year in high school for a band named “White Rock” and my claim to fame there was nearly blowing the bassist’s left arm off with a flash pod I’d kinda overloaded. Oops!

  4. Well, stick that in your fuse box … look what turns 50 today …

May 14, 1976 ~ AC/DC release High Voltage in The States.  Music critics weren't impressed and took the band to task for taking rock to the basement. Rolling Stone's Billy Altman said rock hit "an all-time low" with its release. Everyone can be wrong now and then -- the album has sold well over 3 million just here in the States. #acdc #highvoltage #70srock #rockmusic #70smusic #music #musicsky #musiciansky

  9. Argus

April 28, 1972. Andy Powell and Ted Turner's twin lead guitars.  Life was never the same again. Wings release their 6th on March 31, 1978. This is the "synth-heavy" era for Wings. 18. Look what turns 50 today …

The 7th from Led Zeppelin ~ released on March 31, 1976. It's an album created at a difficult time -- during Robert Plant's convalescence from a serious auto accident. Critics weren't too excited about it and it's the lowest selling Zepp album in the catalog. But its genius has become apparent over time. #ledzeppelin #rock #bluesrock #presence #robertplant #jimmypage #johnpauljones #johnbonham #rockmusic #music #musicsky #musiciansky #70srock

  20. Has anybody seen the bridge?

March 28, 1973 ~ Led Zeppelin release Houses Of The Holy ... a classic.  Lyrically, the title refers to the arenas and auditoriums where the band performed, which they viewed as "holy" places for their fans. That's about right. The album is ranked at number 278 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. #ledzeppelin #housesoftheholy #70srock #rock #rockmusic #classicrock #music #musicsky #musiciansky #robertplant #jimmypage

March 21, 1971 ~ Led Zeppelin made a stop at the Boat Club in Nottingham, England during their "Back To The Clubs" tour. It was -- and still is -- a rowing club and intimate music venue. 24. Dressed To Kill

Kiss release their third album on March 19, 1975. This is the one that includes their anthem "Rock 'n' Roll All Nite." The cover is famous for depicting the band members in business suits while wearing their signature makeup. Peter Criss was the only member who owned a suit; the others had to borrow theirs from the band's manager, Bill Aucoin. The album's only 30 minutes in length ... which was fine for some. #kiss #dressedtokill #70srock #rockmusic

  26. The Idiot

Released on March 18, 1977, The Idiot is the debut solo album by Iggy Pop. It was produced and largely co-written by David Bowie and, as Iggy called it ... "a cross between James Brown and Kraftwerk." The album is hailed as a foundational blueprint for post-punk, industrial, and gothic rock. It was the album playing on Joy Division singer Ian Curtis's turntable the night he died. #iggypop #theidiot #70srock #rockmusic #70smusic #music #musicsky #musiciansky

  27. The snow had melted completely from ondeck then a few days ago, a couple of inches fell and last night, a few more inches came down. It subsided for a bit but there’s a 90 percent chance for more today and it just showed up as a blizzard warning takes effect at 10 a.m. “Chicago time” today - between 20 and 30 inches possible by tomorrow and I think my hot water heater just took a dump (Yay!) I’m reminded of a tune from 1973.
