I think an appropriate response to 4B and Lysistrata from the west or north would be to boycott Tesla, Starlink, X, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, googlesearch, gpt bots and TikTok. For that to happen, a large group – for example, a significant proportion of women – would need to agree to do so. I see no signs of that happening.

I say all this because when we are living through a fire hose of kakistocracy, it is natural to grasp anything that feels like it might shield you from the shit.
But this ain’t it, fam.
What Lysistrata teaches us is that we need each other. (And that refusing to make the noise of a lioness with a cheese grater will bring a strong man to his knees…so, there’s that.)
I’m not suggesting that women who want nothing to do with the bro culture should lower their standards. Again, Lysistrata has the lesson that demanding what you want is the best way to get it. Bro culture is yucky. Refusing to interact with it seems like common sense.
But don’t align yourself with people that hate. Hate gets us nowhere good.

Many women in the West have taken up the banner of 4B and are equating it to Lysistrata. They are not the same, they do not have underlying philosophy in common, nor do they share a cultural link.
We, in the West, cannot just take movements from other cultures, appropriate them, and assume they will match, especially when we have literally no idea how those cultures operate.
4B is a fairly fringe movement in SK. They are virulently anti #trans and anti male #homosexuality. They want ID scans to use the potty. This is a movement much closer to jk rowling than it is Lysistrata.
#Aristophanes loved people. Really loved people, and assumed the best was possible even from the worst of people. He thought people were absurd, and they are. What a silly group of hairless apes we are. But Lysistrata wasn’t about hate, it was about using what people want to get what society needs.

Lysistrata was written by Aristophanes back in the days of Greek cities constantly at war.
It’s is best to think of Aristophanes as an early Mel Brooks, in that it is a broad comedy with many laugh lines, but a deeper underlying meaning which has changed as society has changed.
Lysistrata convinces the women of warring cities to seize and hold the Acropolis, while enjoining a sex strike, saying “No more shall we point our slippers towards the sky”, until men put their swords down and get back to work.
It’s very funny and one of my favorite plays to read.

Y’all, we need to talk about #4B, #6B4T, #Lysistrata and the West.
4B is a movement started in #SouthKorea around ten years ago after a man publicly murdered a woman because “women didn’t pay attention to him”, and he was lightly punished. 6B4T is a morph of that movement which spread to #China and was banned by Chinese censors.
The principles tenets to the 4B movement are:
no sex with men (Korean: 비섹스; bisekseu),
no giving birth (비출산; bichulsan),
no dating men (비연애; biyeonae), and
no marriage with men (비혼; bihon).6B" refers to the same four commandments of the 4B movement as well as not buying products viewed as sexist (Korean: 비소비; Hanja: 非消費; bisobi) and supporting others in the movement (비돕비; 非돕非; bidopbi), while "4T" refers to rejecting strict beauty standards (탈코르셋; 脫corset; talkoreuset), hypersexual depictions of women in otaku culture (탈오타쿠; 脫otaku; tarotaku), religion (탈종교; 脫宗敎; taljonggyo), and idol culture (탈아이돌; 脫idol; taraidol).

when communists TIRFs like me say "abolish sex work" we mean Nordic model first then,eliminating poverty, & dismantling the capitalist conditions that economically coerce & incentivize people to sell their bodies followed by full decriminalization. calling us "swerfs" for that is so beyond stupid.

Right-wing women are not hard to understand nor are they uniquely ignorant or tapped into some naïve (nonexistent) tradwife bliss. They are authoritarian, racist, misogynistic, homophobic women. They believe in patriarchy fully and defend it, even as men in their lives make them miserable.
