  3. As many celebrate Christmas with family, imagine the heartache and pain of many Ukrainians dealing with their stolen and lost children.

    It is with some irony I sense the worldwide outrage with this as I pen this from Canada, where the Canadian government endorsed a very similar program impacting Indigenous communities, known as the 60s Scoop.

Survivors of the 60s Scoop, which saw tens of thousands of Indigenous children in Canada removed from their families and placed in non-Indigenous adoptive or foster homes, were awarded $750 million in a 2018 class action suit.
