Bit late getting to this, but for week nine in my book a week for a whole year challenge I've chosen the sequel to The Ring, Koji Suzuki's Spiral. I had no idea they made a film of this one too, I must check it out.

Book eight in my book a week for a whole year is Living Dangerously by noted explorer Ranulph Fiennes. I've had this book for a while but never gotten around to reading it.

Week seven and another horror novel. Adam Nevill's The Ritual, a grotesque Black Metal folk-horror set in Sweden.

For week 6 I've gone with a book I should've known about. I've seen the movies obviously, but I had no idea they were based on a novel. Koji Suzuki's Ring.

For week 5 of my book a week for a whole year I've chosen Babel: Or the Necessity of Violence by Rebecca F. Kuang. A story about language, magic, and the evils of colonialism.

Fourth book this year is Ringmaster by Abraham Josephine Riesman, the tell-all biography of Wrestling's Hitler, Vince McMahon.

Third book of the year is Patrick Stewart's autobiography Making it So. As a massive fan of TNG I've been looking forward to this one, as well as learning more about his life in Yorkshire.

Second book of the year then is Ade Edmondson's biography Berserker! I've always been fascinated by his life as he seemed much more private than Rik.

First up is Alastair Reynolds' 2008 "hard" sci-fi epic House of Suns. Alastair was born in Barry, but we won't hold that against him. I've heard good things about this, otherwise I'm going in blind.
