In Holland gekürt: Der 4. April (genau in der Mitte zum Welttierschutztag am 4.10.) ist der Internationale Tag der streunenden Tiere bzw.: World Stray Animals Day. Gemeint sind verlassene Haustiere, nicht wild lebende Tiere. Geschätz wetweit gibt es ~700 Mill. streunende Hunde; in DE alle ~ 2 Mill. Streunerkatzen.
