I have a plus subscription to ChatGPT and a pro subscription to Perplexity. It's not that I'm afraid of #ai/ #LLMs or don't want to use it! The difference is, neither ChatGPT or Perplexity are uploading my sensitive (and private) documents to the cloud.

Here's a simple fact:

Once data leaves your domain (your control), for the purposes of the 4th Amendment protection in the United States you are no longer the custodian and you have very little protection.
