I finally wet sanded a bunch of #3DPrints that I had sitting around. Most of them were bases or toppers which I'm quite excited to get some paint on!

I also primed a bunch of printed models since the humidity wasn't 800% today! Now I've got 3298473785 things to paint! 🎨

First post!

I like practical nerdy stuff, like #3dPrints, #HomeAssistant (whether this is practical is arguable, and I am willing to have that debate), #Linux and other such #ActuallyUsefulSoftware. Against #enshittification and #enshittified software, pretty anti big tech.

Which is ironic because I work in a Windows environment for my current day job and am working on my AWS certifications when I'm not at work.

I am married to my lovely wife - we got married in May of this year. She is not on the fedi, at least currently.

We are #CatPeople more than dog people, but I love all the critters who wander this earth with us.

This is what I love 3d printing for. Quickly solving little issues around the house.

I often use the sink in the basement to wash out paint brushes and then need a way to store them while they dry.

This is my second (sturdier) iteration of a mechanism to fix a metal rod (from an old IKEA thing) to the faucet. Perfect place to hang my brushes and let them drip into the sink.

Funny how that started, just because I wanted to fix someone else's model, but that guy sadly (or fortunately? :-) did now answer my request to change away from Makerworlds restrictive default license. So I just made my own parametric and hopefully much better and versatile version.
