As requested by the Client the original idea was to recreate a 150 year old house recently taken down by a storm.
The original house was 36 feet square with a pyramid style roof that had a 12-12 pitch.
The original request programming was composed of a reading area, small kitchenette, main entry and a small half bath, a “low country architecture” or a traditional plain house.
Where the ground level is stone with lattice over the open areas and the upper level was made of hardy plank.
A warm and traditional environment builds better traditional material and techniques.
