#31daysofhalloween day 31. We mark the shift from spooky to festive with Christmas comedy horror, There's Something in the Barn. Not anywhere near as much fun as you feel it should be, mainly because you wish the barn elves would off the insufferable main family.

#31daysofhalloween day 30. Follow (2015) is a small film about a guy losing his mind after waking up to find his girlfriend dead. Not terrible but struggles to stretch its central idea to fill it's short runtime.

Day 29 of #31daysofhalloween and From Dusk Till Dawn is an all timer. George Clooney has never been cooler, the dialogue is snappy as hell and effects legend Tom Savini plays a character called Sex Machine. In the conversation of best vampire films of all time.

#31daysofhalloween day 28. John Carpenter's Vampires is often considered lesser Carpenter but it's a fun time. Propelled to greater heights by James Woods unique energy as an action leading man.

#31daysofhalloween day 24. House of Wax (2005). On release I thought this remake of a classic was an abomination but as time passes its developing its own period charm. It still isn't good but you can't totally hate something with Paris Hilton and a Winchester brother in it.

#31daysofhalloween day 22 and 2002's Ghost Ship starts off with an all timer of a mass kill but gets pretty whatever after that. Featuring a song by Mudvayne is the most early 2000s thing ever.

Day 22 of #31daysofhalloween. #vhsbeyond is the usual vhs franchise mixed bag, with the pretty good sitting alongside the barely watchable. Saves the best 2 segments for last but the running interludes are a waste of time.
