I now have a helmet mount for the GoPro, and it works much better! I think I nearly have the pitch correct.

Started day 30 of #30DaysOfBiking with yet another ride to school with the teen. Had to run to campus at lunch time to pick up graduation regalia, easy to zip over on a bike. Stopped off on the way home at the neighborhood taco truck for lunch. Then biked out tonight for some activism because a cyclist was killed by a driver last night less than a mile from my house, at an intersection I frequently bike through. A sad closing note for a good month. #BikeTooter

Today was a copy of yesterday so I again waited until noon to set off on a road bike ride. Again with moderate to gusty Northwest winds, the Douglas State Trail was the best route out, but after the repetition, I came back by another route, through Oronoco; it was a 47 mile ride. The tailwind made that return trip much easier. For some reason after the hard slog out, I never felt like stopping so I took only one photo.

Almost to the end of #30DaysOfBiking! For day 28, biked with the teen to school, with @timcoffman to a new small grocery in the next neighborhood over for lunch, and to a working session for our Vision Zero committee tonight. Got totally soaked on the bike ride home, but did not get hit by lightning so counting it as a win. #BikeTooter

#30DaysOfBiking Day 28:
While sunny, it was cold and windy this morning, so I waited until after lunch when it warmed to 50F (10C) before setting off on a ride to the Douglas State Trail and 90th Street NW and back for 33 miles. All the fruit trees seem to be in bloom, except for the apple trees at the orchard off the trail which are not quite there yet, maybe next week. There were a number of road cyclists on the trail, to be expected with that strong Northwest wind.

@ascentale @bikenite #BikeNite A8 When we biked to church on Easter Sunday, we were glad to have our panniers with one nearly empty (when we biked there, it was simply holding a wide-brimmed sun hat. That gave us plenty of room on return-home trip for a surprise gift at FPC of potted daisies from our friend Ellen Tucker (of https://sfba.social/@bikemonterey/114906989111518244).

Like many other set bicycle events for me, this #WinterBikeToWorkDay fell on a day I was unable to bicycle. I bicycle a lot, it's my main transportation and enjoyment. But I usually can't finish a #coffeneuring event, do #30DaysOfBiking or even manage #BikeToSchoolDay or #BikeToWorkDay because they fall on days I have family obligations or motor vehicle travel time with the Spouse.

#Coffeneuring is pretty popular in the Fall.

Really like the ideas of #WeekWithoutDriving and #30DaysOfBiking .
And don't do either because of family obligations in April, and this week I have to get my bicycle worked on to prepare for ice and snow and the closest shop is over 20km away so need to drive it there with spouse's car.
#Coffeneuring is also another great idea that I've never really been able to accomplish.
But I haven't had my own car by choice since 1995 and my bicycles are my main transportation.

Day 30 #30DaysOfBiking: It's officially a wrap! Despite a downpour in the night and forecast for high chance of rain, I got to ride to HQ at 7:40am and back to home office at 12:30pm without putting on rain gear. Brisk breeze made me glad I was moving myself, e-bike saved me from being late for an 8:00 a.m. meeting with that little extra boost when I needed it.

Rode at least once the 750m test parcours with a #Yoonit, an #HPVelotechnik #Speedmachine w/above-seat steering, an #AZUB Origami w/tilt handlebar, and a #Kwiggle. Had to try it as many compared it with the #Brompton. It was … interesting. IMHO it can't hold a candle to the Brompton, especially not in versatility.
Most interesting were though the visitors' bikes. #Rule17

Rode through #Tenero (mostly around the railway tracks), alongside the #Verzasca river, and the northern part of the wildlife sanctuary #BolleDiMagadino. 17℃ sounds warm, but it was windy and mostly cloudy, i.e. not much sun, so I was close to switching from fingerless cycling gloves to closed, warmer gloves.
