Welp, can't win for losing. I went out for ride #2 of #30DaysofBiking, hit a pothole going down a hill and went over the handlebars. Bike was busted up enough I had to walk it home. No broken limbs but my ribs hurt bad enough I've got a friend on his way over to take me to the ER for xrays. (my urgent care place closed at 5:30).

So. I'm in awful physical shape and my mental health is even worse. BUT I may have sorted out my bike seat issue recently so how about a #30daysofbiking?
Did a bit over 11 miles this evening. It was a little further and steeper than I wanted to go, but there were some aggressive drivers on the out part of my out and back so I made it a loop (Plus I live at the top of a large hill and my options are pretty limited).

I now have a helmet mount for the GoPro, and it works much better! I think I nearly have the pitch correct.

Started day 30 of #30DaysOfBiking with yet another ride to school with the teen. Had to run to campus at lunch time to pick up graduation regalia, easy to zip over on a bike. Stopped off on the way home at the neighborhood taco truck for lunch. Then biked out tonight for some activism because a cyclist was killed by a driver last night less than a mile from my house, at an intersection I frequently bike through. A sad closing note for a good month. #BikeTooter

Started day 30 of #30DaysOfBiking with yet another ride to school with the teen. Had to run to campus at lunch time to pick up graduation regalia, easy to zip over on a bike. Today was a copy of yesterday so I again waited until noon to set off on a road bike ride. Again with moderate to gusty Northwest winds, the Douglas State Trail was the best route out, but after the repetition, I came back by another route, through Oronoco; it was a 47 mile ride. The tailwind made that return trip much easier. For some reason after the hard slog out, I never felt like stopping so I took only one photo.

Almost to the end of #30DaysOfBiking! For day 28, biked with the teen to school, with @timcoffman to a new small grocery in the next neighborhood over for lunch, and to a working session for our Vision Zero committee tonight. Got totally soaked on the bike ride home, but did not get hit by lightning so counting it as a win. #BikeTooter

Day 28: There is not going to be any warmup before the end of the month, so it's going to continue to be cold rides to finish out the challenge. Tonight's north wind was very biting, but at least no rain today.

While sunny, it was cold and windy this morning, so I waited until after lunch when it warmed to 50F (10C) before setting off on a ride to the Douglas State Trail and 90th Street NW and back for 33 miles. All the fruit trees seem to be in bloom, except for the apple trees at the orchard off the trail which are not quite there yet, maybe next week. There were a number of road cyclists on the trail, to be expected with that strong Northwest wind.

While sunny, it was cold and windy this morning, so I waited until after lunch when it warmed to 50F (10C) before setting off on a ride to the Douglas State Trail and 90th Street NW and back for 33 miles. All the fruit trees seem to be in bloom, except for the apple trees at the orchard off the trail which are not quite there yet, maybe next week. There were a number of road cyclists on the trail, to be expected with that strong Northwest wind.

Day 27 of #30DaysOfBiking - just a bike ride to school with the teen. New mural coming together in the park we bike through every day. Was hoping to get out to a group ride tonight, but the weather seemed a little sketchy. #BikeTooter
